APX DMS
Device Management Services (DMS) includes a variety of options for customers to program their radios. From basic/single unit programming to multi-unit/batch programming on premise or hosted in the cloud, there are options that will meet your customers programming needs and budget.
Device Management Services (DMS) for APX
CPS: single unit programming included with APX device purchases
Radio Management (RM) On-Prem (CapEx license purchase): batch programming licenses.
Radio Management (RM) can help reduce fleet programming time and improve overall radio asset management through one central database with support of multiple programming interfaces including WiFi (if purchased on the APX), Over-the-Air LMR and USB. Radio Management enables customers to:
Manage and track radio codeplugs through a central database
Make changes to a shared codeplug template and push to multiple radios
Manage and update radios without taking them out of service
Schedule programming updates to radios ahead of time
Radio Management (RM) Hosted: RM in the cloud and supported by CMSO. Includes server and job processor hardware refresh; database backup and restore, security patching, operating system updates and software maintenance agreement.
Essential = MyView + HW repair + Technical Support + Basic Programming (CPS)
When you add DMS Advanced RM batch programming (on-prem or hosted) customers will still have the CPS option for emergency programming.
Ordering Information
RM On-prem (CapEx license purchase)
Specify the Radio Management license delivery method model number (on-line or off-line) as the main line item. The Delivery Method model number should only be ordered as quantity 1.
Specify the associated Radio Management license option corresponding to the chosen delivery method as the sub-items. All Radio Management license options should be equal to the number of radios to be managed. IMPORTANT: Be sure to include an email address to which the Radio Management License Entitlement ID will be sent
IMPORTANT: For off-line delivery method only, be sure to include the Host ID of the Radio Management Server that will manage the Radio Management licenses. See Host ID Help link for additional information
